Trade Submission Guidelines

MCBOOKS PRESS TRADE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

McBooks Press seeks historical naval or maritime fiction and selected historical fiction with compelling storylines and characters.

Submissions are accepted by mail or email, but we do prefer email. We will not be responsible for materials sent in the mail. Do not include materials on CDs or USB drives; these will not be viewed. Anything received in the mail will be recycled after it is considered.

Please submit your proposal to just one imprint.

Because we receive so many unsolicited manuscripts, we aren’t able to respond to all submissions. Please give us three months to review before following up. Please remember to include your email address with your submission.

Please include the following in your proposal:

  • A description of the book.
  • A table of contents, if applicable, and a sample chapter.
  • An overview of your platform, experience, and online presence (tell us how you will help promote the book).
  • A market analysis––Who will buy this book? Why publish this book now? Include a list of current competitive titles.

If you are trying to reach editorial for McBooks Press, email [email protected].

If you are mailing your submission, please mail to:

Globe Pequot
64 S Main Street
Essex, CT 06246

If you would like to submit your book to a different imprint under Globe Pequot, you’ll find directions and contact information here: GP Submissions.
